The Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts Library is an Academic Library with a specialized vast collection in the visual and performing arts and other related areas.
The Library’s mission statement is as follows:
1. To support the teaching and research needs of the institution’s students, faculty and other administrative staff, through its collections and services.
2. To collect and preserve research materials which will increase and enhance knowledge of and appreciation for the region’s art forms and culture.

As an academic library the primary users are students and staff of the institution. Nevertheless, with a unique collection it is also a research hub for both the national and international communities of scholars, researchers, artists and art philanthropists.
